The North Park Art Walk was a rousing success with almost 1000 attending the 2-day inaugural event. Local business owners lent vacant space and storefronts that were magically converted to nine fine art galleries on Kedzie and Bryn Mawr. Thanks to over 60 local businesses that supported the event by donating space and food or buying ads. Special thanks to Anna and Jeffrey from Koh-Varilla Guild for coming to us with the idea and to North River Commission for being great partners.
HNPCA's Green Committee hosted a Geocaching Treasure Hunt for neighborhood families. Families learned how
to use GPS devices to find hidden treasures in North Park Village. See more photos and learn how you can borrow the GPS devices to do some geocaching on your own.
Congratulations to the Friends of Peterson Park
and the HNPCA Parks Advisory Committee for their very successul and
very fun fundraiser on August 29, 2009! They raised over $2,200 that
evening to benefit the park, and we all enjoyed a great party and time
to catch up with neighbors. Be sure to check out the photos from the event as well as other beautiful shots of Peterson Park.
