Stop Wasting Food! Join members of the Hollywood North Park Community Association Green Team and Illinois Food Scrap & Composting Coalition as we recognize and celebrate International Composting Awareness Week.
Come and learn about at-home and fee-for-service composting options and how your composting efforts help combat climate change!
Chicago Department of Street and Sanitation will also be present to share updates on city composting initiatives including composting pilots at community gardens.
We'll be giving away an OXO countertop food scrap bin to a lucky winner.
Kids and teens are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
